Laurie Heikkila

Laurie Heikkila is an internationally recognized educator, speaker, curriculum consultant, and workshop leader with over ten years of experience and a strong belief in constructivist learning. Drawing on her experience as a technology coordinator and classroom teacher, Laurie fills her talks and workshops with simple, economical, and meaningful ways to bring technology into the classroom as a learning tool. She has a special interest in girls’ learning styles and in how girls learn about and work with technology.

Laurie is a regional director for FIRST Lego League robotics competitions. She has taught at the Laurel School for Girls, in the Cleveland public schools, and at Cleveland State University, from which she also holds a masters degree in in educational technology.
